Robotics Camp

The MVCA is teaming up with “Those Guys” Robotics Team to offer an exciting opportunity for 6th – 9th graders interested in robotics. The week-long summer camp, staffed by “Those Guys” and their adult advisor, will teach students the essentials of robot building, including the mechanical, electrical and software components. The students will form teams; each team will build its own working robot and compete with the other teams at the end of the week.

July 9-13, 2018 from 9:00am to noon

Cost: $200 (includes supplies)

Maximum of 12 students, so register early!

The Long Valley Robotics Team “Those Guys,” formed in 2015, participates in FIRST Tech Challenge, a community focused on building a better world by engaging high school students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math STEM). Through competing, students learn the value of hard work, teamwork, sharing ideas and respect for others. “Those Guys” have won several competitions, and advanced to the state level in only their second year together! They are also engaged in community service. The MVCA and “Those Guys” hope that this year’s campers will consider becoming future team members.
