Babysitting Courses

Taught by Andi Huber, certified EMT

This class will train teens in the art of babysitting. Emphasis will be on safety issues and childcare skills. Participants will learn basic first aid and emergency protocol, the value and characteristics of responsibility, infant care, child development, recreational ideas, and positive discipline techniques appropriate for all ages of children. They will receive information on how to partner with their parents in order to “start their business.”

Each class member will make a simple first aid kit and a decorative activity bag to take along on babysitting jobs.
